Every year on June 21st, something shifts.
The sun reaches the highest point in the sky. The day stretches longer than any other. The light lingers past the hours it usually holds.
This is the Summer Solstice. And this year, it arrives with Venus newly entered into Leo fierce, radiant, and completely unwilling to hide.
This combination of the peak solar energy of the Solstice and Venus in Leo's fire creates one of the most potent feminine activation portals of the entire year.
This guide is your invitation to step through it consciously.
The Spiritual Significance of the Summer Solstice
The Summer Solstice has been honored in virtually every ancient culture on earth.
In Celtic traditions, it was called Litha a festival of fire, flower crowns, and offerings to the sun. Bonfires were lit on hilltops, couples leaped through flames as acts of purification and blessing.
In ancient Egypt, the Solstice marked the period just before the Nile's flooding, which brought fertility and abundance. It was associated with the goddess Isis and the renewal of creative power.
In Taoist traditions, the Solstice represented the peak of yang energy the active, expansive, solar force. It was considered the ideal time for practices that cultivate and circulate sexual energy through the body.
The consistent thread: the Solstice is a threshold. What you plant at this peak moment carries extraordinary momentum.
Venus in Leo + The Solstice: Why 2026 Is Special
Venus moved into Leo on June 13th, just eight days before the Solstice.
Leo is the sign of the sun, the heart, and the stage. It is the sign that refuses to make itself smaller for anyone's comfort. When Venus transits Leo, the nature of love and desire becomes expressive, visible, and radiant.
Combined with the Solstice's peak solar energy, this creates an activation that is specifically about being seen in your full feminine power. Not hiding. Not softening. Showing up in the complete, unapologetic truth of who you are and what you desire.
For women working with their embodiment practice, this is an extraordinary window.
Preparing for Your Solstice Ritual
The days leading up to the Solstice are part of the ritual itself.
Three days before: Begin paying attention to your body in a new way. Notice where you feel alive and where you feel numb. Notice where you hold tension. Notice what your desire has been quietly asking for. This awareness becomes the map for your ritual.
The night before: Cleanse your crystal tools. You can use sage or palo santo smoke, sunlight, or running water. Hold your crystal egg in both hands and begin to feel its energy. Begin forming your intention.
The morning of: Spend at least twenty minutes outside in the morning sun if possible. Let your skin absorb solar energy. Feel the warmth. This is your physical preparation.
What You Will Need
• A candle in gold, orange, or red representing solar energy
• Fresh flowers, particularly sunflowers, marigolds, or any golden blooms
• Your yoni egg, cleansed and charged in morning sunlight for 30 minutes
• A journal and pen
• A comfortable, private space where you will not be interrupted for at least an hour
• Optional: warming incense or essential oils such as sandalwood, cinnamon, or orange
Setting Your Solstice Intention
The intention is the most powerful part of any ritual. Without it, you are simply going through motions.
Sit quietly with your crystal in both hands. Close your eyes. Breathe slowly into your lower belly. Ask yourself: what do I want to claim in my body this summer? What has been sleeping that is ready to wake up? What am I ready to stop making smaller?
When your intention is clear, speak it aloud three times. Speaking anchors it in the physical dimension.
Examples of Solstice intentions:
"I claim my pleasure fully and without apology."
"I let my body be seen in its full aliveness this summer."
"I release the habit of making myself smaller and step into the full space of who I am."
"I activate the creative fire in my sacral center and let it move through every area of my life."
The Solstice Ritual: Step by Step
Step One Create your space. Set up your ritual area with your candle, flowers, and meaningful objects. Light the candle. Place your crystal in front of you. Take a few minutes simply to arrive.
Step Two Breathwork activation. Begin with fifteen minutes of slow, conscious breathwork directed into the lower belly and sacral area. On the inhale, allow the belly to expand fully downward. On the exhale, release any holding. After several rounds, add a rhythmic quality to the exhale a gentle pulsing that begins to stimulate sacral energy.
Step Three Movement. Before any internal practice, move your body. Dance. Sway. Circle your hips slowly. Allow your pelvis to move in whatever way feels instinctive. This activates sacral energy somatically and prepares your body to receive the crystal.
Step Four Crystal practice. With your body warm, open, and ready, begin your yoni egg or wand practice as you normally would. Once your crystal is in place, return to conscious breathwork. Hold your Solstice intention in your awareness. Visualize the crystal amplifying and activating that intention with each breath.
Step Five Integration and journaling. After completing your practice, lie still for at least fifteen minutes. Let the Solstice energy settle into your cells. Then journal: What did you feel? What arose? What is different in your body right now?

After the Solstice
The energy you activate on the Solstice does not disappear the next day. It is a seed planted in the most fertile moment of the year.
To support that seed: practice with your crystal two to three times per week through the summer. Spend time in sunlight regularly. Return to your Solstice intention when you feel disconnected or small. Let the summer be long and alive.
Important: Yoni Eggs should not be used during pregnancy. Always wait until you have fully recovered postpartum and received clearance from your healthcare provider before beginning any internal practice.
